Maeva and Miya are 11 months old!

These girls are growing too fast! They are standing up (with support) and walking around the table!
Miya is the strongest with her legs as she can also stand without support for 10-15 seconds! She also can walk with a walker with no help at all too!

Maeva is the strongest one with her arms! She can clap her hands and wave bye bye! Miya is not interested in that yet!!
It’s so interesting to watch them growing as two completely different people at their own pace!
They are very communicating with everybody! They can call their big bro and say something that he understands (we don’t!) and they speak baby language like crazy! Are they developing twins language? Maybe… We don’t know yet…but by precaution I ask my pediatrician to have a referral with a speach therapist (as it takes almost a year to get the first appointment!) but they might do well as they have their big bro as example!

In the meantime they are growing teeth! They now have 8 teeth each! Some nights were (are) very tough for me! Miya had a lot of pain and could wake up every hour… I tried to not co sleeping but I can tell you sometimes I am thinking to do it as I’m so tired! But if I took one, you are almost sure that the second will wake up within 15 min! It’s like she doesn’t feel her sister in the room right away!! They are both the same for that!!
My girls are in the small size range for their age but the pediatrician is not worried at all and he is even happy by their growth and development!

Maeva is 8.52kg (18.78 lbs) and Miya 8.28kg (18.25lbs).
These girls are very independent! They don’t like to be feed and don’t like purée at all! They are eating pieces for everything! If I give them purée it’s a disaster! It’s everywhere from the floor to their hair! The pics will speak for it! Ha you can laugh but I can tell you it’s not so fun for me! I have to clean and I HATE to clean!!
So I have to clean pieces on the floor (which can be ok because easy to take!) but purée… yucky! It’s sticky everywhere!
With Mateo I was lucky he liked (still does by the way) to be feed! He started pieces at 14 months old!
So these girls eat almost everything we eat! There are a few things I don’t give them because they are not one yet but also because I think it’s too early to give pieces!
Both girls are funny to watch especially when they love what they are eating! They will scream to tell you “come on I don’t have anything anymore! I want more! Hurry Mommy!”
Ya… we have to give everything in small quantities because if we give the whole plate, they take it and put everything on the floor! It’s so funny to play with the plate upside down!!
The problem with pieces is that you can’t give the same quantity of food that is in a purée! For example, you purée two zucchini, it looks so small but if you cut two zucchini in pieces it’s a lot of pieces! So I’m thinking they are in the low range of weight because of that! But I’m not worried as the pediatrician is happy!!

Hey Sister, look what we did! Mommy is not going to be happy!

For snacks as I don’t want to clean again they are eating mum mum or puffs.

What is amazing to me is that they know very well what they like. So as soon as I say it’s snack time lets sit and I show the mum mum packet I have two little girls crawling to me and sitting ready to get it! Or at lunch or dinner time we bring the cheese a little too early, you are sure they will not finish what they have and ask for the cheese!! Tonight it was funny! They were having some peas and they appeared to be eating well (until I saw a stash of peas on their chairs!) but as soon as Andrew brought the cheese Maeva didn’t want anything else! Andrew showed her the last 5 peas that she has to eat, she looked at them, took them and through them on the floor! Ha ha so funny!! Of course you can’t laugh but the scene was so funny!! And for Miya, she had some pasta left on the tray and Andrew gave her the cheese! She took the pasta (believing it was the cheese!) and as soon as it went to her mouth she spit it out with a funny look and took the cheese instead!!

Their sleeping is still upside down! One night Maeva will wake up only once but Miya 4-5 times and the next night it will be the opposite! I didn’t have a straight 8 hours sleep for more than a year now.
I’m still breastfeeding them 5 times a day each and on average 3 times a night (each).
Recently it’s 10:30-2:30-4:30. I’m trying to do dream feed for each of the girls that didn’t wake up yet because otherwise they wake up 1/2h after the first one just when I finally fall asleep!
They did awesome for a few nights but unfortunately I had insomnia these nights (which seems worse that waking up 10 times a night!).
Sometimes during the day I forget the time but they are here to remind me that is booby time! They will grab my legs and tell me in a way that I really understand!

Voila, otherwise they have a very great bond with their big bro! They follow him everywhere he goes and it’s nice to look at them playing together! Mateo is sometimes a little rough so we always have to be in the room with them but Maeva and Miya could me mean to each other (and Mateo) sometimes too… But on average they are still good to each other!!
Voila… I can’t believe that next month it’s their first birthday…
Way to go girls! You are awesome!

I feel so lucky with my three monkeys! I love them so much! 🙂
