Already one week since our twin girls were born!
Time flies so fast! It’s been one week already since Maeva and Miya were born.
They are growing well! Maeva has almost gained back all her weight loss. Miya eats less than her sister but she is slowly gaining her weight back.
They like to pee on daddy when he changes them. It’s funny because I would have believed boys pee far more than girls but I can say it’s the opposite! (I compare between Mateo and the girls!). Lol!!

Maeva had difficulty to poo at the beginning but since yesterday she is now on track! Miya never had that problem!
They like to fart a lot (like their daddy!).
When we came back home, the girls were sleeping very well during the day but at night it was a nightmare (I’m wondering if it was because too many people were holding them and it was kind of comfortable for them).
They didn’t want to sleep in their crib. I had to put them in our bed but they were still very fussy. I didn’t like to put them in our bed because I was worried that our blanket goes on their face… I made sure that couldn’t happen but I was still worried.
They had one blanket each. And Saturday, we put one blanket for both. I put the blanket under them and folded it like a crepe on the side of each girl. We have another blanket on the top that covers both at the same time. What is amazing about the girls is that since we do that they sleep well at night. Of course, don’t get me wrong, they still wake up for food every 2-3 hours (day and night) but no fussy time.
I really think they like to touch each other! It’s very cute to watch!

I took Miya to change her when Maeva was still sleeping. 5 minutes later I could hear Maeva moving and complaining (not really crying). When I went back to the bedroom, I found Maeva partially on the side of Miya. It was like she was looking for her… It is very interesting. As soon as I put Miya in the crib, Maeva stopped complaining and went back to sleep!
Very cute actually!
The bonding between them is very interesting to watch.
Mateo is adjusting slowly. He has some difficult periods but it’s normal! So sometimes, he puts his fingers in his mouth like the girls do. He wants 2 blankets just like his sisters. He wants to put his diapers and his underwear at the same time for nap! It is like I’m still a baby but I’m at the same time a big boy!
We had 3 days with him (long weekend) and Daddy went outside with him a lot. They had a lot of fun actually and I wish I could have been there! They went to the aquarium with Grandma and Grandpa, took the boat for Granville Island and had fun over there. We baked a cake together and loved to eat the batter. You can look his face!

It’s like Movember mustache!
He kept it until bath time! We tried to wash it but Mateo didn’t want! He also baked some cookies with Daddy! For this part, I will say Daddy baked the cookies and Mateo played with me (half of the time!)
Anyway, I think he is adjusting slowly but surely!! Even though he is whining a lot lately. Sometimes he doesn’t look very jealous and sometimes it is completely opposite.
As soon as we involve him (Can you go to take the nursing pillow? Can you bring me a diaper? ), he is very happy and he always says “okay”.
And he is running to take the stuff we ask him for! I’m also trying to be with him as soon as he comes back from daycare. It doesn’t work all the time with breastfeeding on demand but I try to play with him without the girls around. We are lucky that they are very cool so far.
I feel very blessed because I know that some ladies from some twin groups I’m in struggle for breastfeeding or for sleeping and I really feel their pain and their frustration. I wish them all the best. And I really hope that it will be resolved very shortly and it will be just a memory.
Stay strong mamas.
